Pictures!

I have an order from SnapFish on its way. I have over 100 prints coming, so you will be seeing more and more scrapbook pages. I took a break from scrapbooking because I started getting into card making. But I finally got all of my photos uploaded to SnapFish, so I took advantage of the current deal they have going on. I can't wait to get started. It has been so long!

My first ATC!

I am not happy at all with how this turned out. I had a gold sun iron on, that I thought if I played around with using my heat gun, I could get it to stick to paper. WRONG. It was horrible. So not wanting to waste the paper. I picked of the iron on and added the only other gold thing I had.

Challenge!

Hi,
I normally post my challenges just on my Facebook page. (Go check it out) But this time I thought that I would mention it on her too! There wont be a prize this time but If I can get enough followers by my birthday (August 25) Then I will do a huge blog candy give away! So tell all your friends!

Challenge:
Make something patriotic!!!

Father's Day!

Having to post this card late because I didn't want my dad to see it! My dad loves motorcycles and he has a Harley that is black and orange. So I decided to make him a card based on his bike. I added brads to give it the metal studs look that so many bikes have. Also, It is hard to tell but the black paper is textured. It kind of looks like water drops on a leather seat. So I thought it was appropriate. I also inked the edges in black to give it that rough masculine look. I made a matching envelope. The card is 4x4.

U Rock!

I am not sure exactly what I think about this card. I like it but there is something off about it. I am not sure if its because there is a lot of blue or what.

I do know that I need to start using my camera to take pictures instead of my phone. Here is a close up.

Hello Baby!

This is the card I made for my second challenge over on my Facebook page. The Challenge was to use something to make your project sparkle. I used glitter glue to make the dots and bubbles sparkle.

Here is a close up of the glitter.

New Technique!

Hello Everyone!

I tried a new technique today. I saw something somewhere that showed you can ink your Cuttlebug folder and when you emboss you paper, the ink will show up. So I decided to try it. It worked well with some folders but with the Stylized Flower folder I ended up having to go back over the embossed image with an inked up Q-tip. I really like the way the background turned out.

Suggestions?

I decided to create my first challenge. I post the challenge over on my Facebook page. The challenge was to create something using a technique that you have never tried before.

The technique that I decided to try for the first time, was to make my own flower embellishment. I love the flower, but not sure I love the card. I love the colors and most of it. I just think it needed something else. I haven't adhered anything down yet. I would really like for everyone's opinion.

Also, I am still kinda new to the whole blog thing, and I am trying to get some more followers. I would love to give a way some blog candy. I am planning on doing one when I reach 5o followers, so please tell your friends about my blog!

Nuts About You!

I made this card for a challenge. The challenge was to create your own background using a stamp. I used a argyle stamp and repeated it to create my background.

Altered Notebook

I love the way this turned out. I am not sure what company made this paper. I got it as Goodwill a couple of weeks ago. It came with the letter stickers and the 'Beautiful' tag. I love it.

I made this for a 12 year old girl. I plan on putting quotes and bible verses in it. She is getting ready to be a teenager and everyone knows how tough those years can be for a girl. I plan on leaving some of the pages blank, so she can fill them in with her own words. Something for her to look at when she is have a tough time. I hope she likes it.

Spring

This is another really simple card. I used K&Company Daises Layered Accents and BW Playful Butterflies (Also from K&Company).

(I didn't have a stem and leaf stamp, so I had to draw them. I am ok with the way they turned out but not completely happy. Maybe a colored pencil would have looked better. Any suggestions?)

Happy Mother's Day!

I made this simple Mother's Day card for my boyfriends mom. The paper is from K&Company's Contemporary Assorted Tags pad. I cut of the tag part, and just used the center portion. The gold "Mom" and flower stickers are from Recollections. This was a very easy and inexpensive card!

Its been a while!

It has been quite some time since I have posted anything. I have been sick, and then I got Pink Eye. I think I am almost over it all. So I decide to post somethings that I have made.

This is a small, simple card that I made before Valentine's Day.

This Card I made for by awesome boyfriend. He got me the Give a Hoot Cart for Christmas, so I thought I would make him a card with it. The colors suit him very well.

I made this with the Give A Hoot cart. I have it hanging on my wall as you walk in my front door.

I was in the mood to make something brighter and more cheerful, to go along with the warmer weather! It's a very simple card.

I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the background. I used Floral Fantasy embossing folder.

Butterfly Card

For this Card, I used patterned paper from the K & Company's Amy Butler Lotus collection. I cut small strips from each pattern and pieced them together to create my own pattern.

The ribbon is from Amy Butler's Sola collection.

To make the butterfly, I used a Studio G Soloz stamp. I stamped the image twice and cut out the center flower. I added the flower to the center of the other butterfly and then added a button!

I LOVE the way this card turned out!!

Birthday Invitations!

I just got done helping my niece make her birthday invitations. She is having a pool party at a hotel and a couple of the girls are going to stay the night with her in the hotel room. She has decided that she wants everyone to bring a dollar to the party and put in a jar. After her party she is going to donate the money to Breast Cancer. She is such a thoughtful girl to do something like this at age 12!

She wanted them to be simple and elegant!

We used the "Your invited" Cuddlebug Embossing folder for the inside. Then she filled them in with a pink metallic marker.

Then we stamped her initial on the outside of the envelopes. We also stamped her initial on the back of the cards.

She is really excited about her birthday party. She is even more excited about donating to help a good cause!

Kitchen!

The little apartment my boyfriend and I are currently living in, is really small and plain. I decided to add some decor. I plan on doing a lot more with it. I just made these really quick and threw them up there for some color, while I decide how to decorate everything. I know it is simple but I needed color fast!!!

Christmas Ornament

A few days before Christmas, my boyfriend and I went out looking for a "our first Christmas" ornament. We couldn't really find one we liked so we decided to find a semi-plan one and come home and use my craft supplies and decorate it together and make it our own. Well, the ornament that we go was glass, and as soon as we got in our house, the bag with the ornament in it got dropped. So, our ornament was broke...

Well, I was a little upset, but got over it quickly! I looked around my house for something that I could make an ornament out of, that would look special. I couldn't find anything.

Then, I glanced at the computer desk and saw the stack of blank Cd's. PERFECT!!!

---------------------------------------

I used paper from My Minds Eye Wonderful Winter glittered holiday paper stack and the snow flakes are from K&Company's Christmas Cheer Chipboard stickers.

I covered the label side of the CD with patterned paper. I sanded the edges to give them a finished look. Then I put a snowflake sticker in the center to cover up the hole and some writing that was in the center.

On the other side, I just put a chipboard sticker in the center to cover up the hole and I left the CD blank so the lights from the tree could reflect off of it.

We then took a sharpie and wrote messages and the date so we could remember "Our First Christmas!"

I love our ornament! I don't think a store bought ornament could be more "us."

New Year!!!

After all the craziness of moving into a new house, Thanksgiving, Christmas and everything else. I am actually able to make a post. I have a lot of New Years resolutions that I would really like to accomplish. One being to craft more and share them with you!
